Blue Frontiers: An ICO to finance an artificial island in Polynesia
The Blue Frontiers project launches its own Cryptocurrency to finance an artificial island and the construction of 300 villas thanks to an ICO type fundraiser.
In the heart of French Polynesia, Blue Frontiers wants to build an artificial floating island to fight against global warming and rising waters.
This project led by The Seasteading Institute has been under development since last year and came into being thanks to a memorandum of understanding signed between the organization and the Polynesian government.
Creating sustainable floating islands with unique regulatory frameworks
In the long term, Blue Frontiers wishes to build tens or even hundreds of islands in the world while respecting the environment. (Green energy production with wind turbines and solar panels)
Blue Frontiers is now turning to Cryptocurrency with Varyon to raise funds and finance this first pilot project.
The Varyon Token (VAR) will serve as a means of payment in the Blue Frontiers ecosystem as well as in future similar projects. Pre-sale of his ICO just started.
The island should emerge and welcome its first citizens by 2022. A project estimated at about $50 million.
