Steve Wozniak: Bitcoin and Blockchain will reach their full potential in a decade
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak commented positively on Blockchain Cryptocurrency and Technology in his opening speech at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2018 in Vienna, Austria.
According to a report by Cointelegraph on Wednesday 16 May, Wozniak considers the Blockchain as a “good idea”. He added:
“Blockchain is the next major IT revolution that is about to happen.”
Wozniak explained his positive outlook for the Blockchain by the fact that it has many useful applications for technology in a number of areas.
The Blockchain and Cryptocurrency will reach their full potential within a decade, according to Wozniak. Apple’s co-founder quoted Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who said in March that Bitcoin would become the world’s “single currency.
This is not the first time Steve Wozniak has made positive comments about Cryptocurrency and the Blockchain. At the «Money 20/20» conference in Las Vegas last October, he said that Bitcoin was better than gold and the US dollar.
According to Wozniak, the great advantage of Bitcoin is that there are only a limited number of coins, while the trust currency, such as the US dollar or the euro, can simply be printed by banks.
Nevertheless, Wozniak sold all but one of his Bitcoins, as he said at the WeAreDevelopers conference in Vienna, because “he doesn’t want to be an investor and constantly monitor prices”.
